New to L.O.S Farms, or coming back after years away? This page gets you from zero to a growing farm. Once you're in, Farming Basics and Travel & Worlds pick up from here.

1. Make your farm#

Go to Create your farm on the website. There are two ways in:

• With Discord: one click if you're already in our Discord. Your farm is linked to your Discord account, so the bot's rewards and commands work straight away.
• With email: choose Create a farm with email, pick a farm name and password, then click the link we email you. It signs you in to your new farm.

You can add the other sign-in method later from your account settings.

2. Get the launcher#

FarmVille is a Flash game, and modern browsers can't run Flash, so the game runs in the L.O.S Farms launcher. Get it from the Download page. There are versions for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

• Mac: the launcher isn't signed by Apple. The first time, right-click it and choose Open. On macOS 15 and newer, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. It runs on Intel Macs, and on Apple Silicon through Rosetta.
• Signing in: click Sign in in the launcher. Your browser opens so you can pick Discord or email. If you're already signed in on the website, just click Continue as your name.

3. Your first ten minutes#

1. Open your Gift Box. New farmers get a starter set, including 4 Super Plots, and the Gift Box is where every gift, reward, and care package arrives. It opens on the Recent tab.
2. Plow, plant, harvest. Plow a few plots and plant something quick, like strawberries. Short crops mean more harvests, and more XP, while you're starting out. See Farming Basics.
3. Follow the quests down the left of the screen. They walk you through the game and pay coins, XP, and items.
4. Add neighbors. Neighbors send gifts, help with building parts, and answer your requests. See Neighbors & Social Features.
5. Set the volume. The 🔊 button at the top of the game page sets music and sounds separately.

Money, briefly#

• Coins buy seeds, animals, and most of the market. You earn them from every harvest.
• Farm Cash buys the special items. On L.O.S Farms it's never sold for real money: you earn it by playing, in our Discord, and from events. See Currency & Leveling.

Where to go next#

If something goes wrong#

• The farm looks empty or won't load: reload once. Most problems right after an update clear up on a reload.
• Found a bug? Post it in the forum's Bug Reports, or use /bug in our Discord. Say which farm you were on and what you clicked, and add a screenshot if you can. It really does help.
• Questions: ask in the forums or in chat. Other farmers are happy to help.
