The Farmdex is a game in our Discord: wild FarmVille animals show up while people chat, and you catch them by naming them. It's a bit like Pokétwo, with more than 5,800 FarmVille animals, all with their real names and pictures from the game. Collect them, level them up, trade them with friends, and send your favorites to your real farm.

Getting started#

1. Join the L.O.S Farms Discord and link your Discord to your farm with /link (or sign in to the site with Discord).
2. Chat with everyone! Wild animals appear in the #farmdex-spawns channel.
3. When one appears, press Catch (or type /catch) and type the animal's name. The first farmer with the right name catches it.

Wild animals#

• A wild animal turns up every 20 to 35 messages sent in the server, and now and then on its own when the server has been active.
• It stays for 15 minutes, then wanders off.
• Not sure what it is? Press Hint (or /hint). Each hint shows more letters of its name.
• Small typos are fine in longer names, and capital letters, spaces and punctuation don't matter.

Rarity#

Every animal has one of five rarities. Rarer ones appear less often:

✨ Shinies#

Every catch has a 1 in 512 chance of being shiny. Shinies are rare and worth showing off.

Shiny hunting: pick one animal with /hunt. Every time you catch that animal, your chance of a shiny one goes up, all the way to 1 in 64. Your streak resets when you catch a shiny, or if you switch your hunt to another animal.

Your animals#

Each animal you catch gets a number in your collection. Most commands use that number.

• Level: a caught animal starts at level 1 to 12, and can reach level 100.
• Stats: Yield, Speed and Charm, each from 0 to 31. The percentage shown with your animal is how good its stats are overall.
• Leveling up: choose your partner with /select. Your selected animal earns XP every time you chat (at most once every 10 seconds).
• Growing up: babies (foals, calves, kittens, and more) grow into their adult form at level 20. The adult is added to your Farmdex too.

Rewards#

• 2 Farm Cash for every animal that's new to your Farmdex
• 15 Farm Cash for every shiny
• A care package with 25 Farm Cash for every 50 animals in your Farmdex

Send an animal to your farm 🚜#

Once a day, /sendtofarm moves one of your animals into your in-game Gift Box, so you can place it on your farm.

• The animal must be level 10 or higher.
• It leaves your Discord collection when it moves to your farm.
• Favorites can't be sent (unfavorite them first).
• You need to have opened the game at least once.

Trading and gifting#

• /trade offers a swap to another farmer. List the numbers of your animals to give and of their animals you want, e.g. give 3 7, get 12. They have 30 minutes to accept or decline.
• /giftanimal gives one of your animals to another farmer.
• Both farmers need their Discord linked to a farm.

Favorites and releasing#

• /favorite protects an animal: favorites can't be released, traded, gifted, or sent to your farm by accident.
• /release lets an animal go back into the wild. This can't be undone.

Tips#

• The more people chat, the more animals appear, so the Farmdex is busiest when the server is lively.
• Keep a baby selected to watch it grow up at level 20.
• Hunting the same animal for a long time makes a shiny much more likely, so pick one you love.
