Using the Forums & Wiki

L.O.S Farms is a community project, and the forums and wiki are how we keep it going. This page explains the features.

Forums

Prefixes — tag a new thread as a Question, Guide, Bug, Suggestion, Discussion, Trade, or Showcase. Forums can be filtered by prefix.
Mentions — write @Name (or @"Two Words" for names with spaces) to notify someone. Start typing after @ for suggestions.
Quote — press Quote on a post to copy it into your reply. Select part of a post first to quote only that part.
Reactions — 👍 ❤️ 😂 😮 🌻 under every post.
Watching — you automatically watch threads you start or reply to, and get a notification when someone replies. Use the Watch button to change that.
Notifications — the 🔔 in the header shows replies, mentions, reactions, and solutions.
New posts — threads with posts you haven't read are marked New; click it to jump to the first unread post.
Solutions — whoever started a thread can mark the reply that solved it. Solved threads are tagged so others can find answers quickly.
Report — if a post breaks the rules, use Report to alert the staff.
Drafts — your unsent reply is saved in your browser, so a reload won't lose it.
Search — search every thread title and post from the forums page.

Anyone can edit — members can edit most pages with the Edit Page button. A few pages, like the legal pages, are protected and staff-only.
History — every save is kept. Open History to see who changed what, compare versions, and restore an older version if something goes wrong.
Links — link to another page with [[Farming Basics]], or [[farming-basics|your own text]]. Link to an item with its name, like [[Cow]]. A red link means the page doesn't exist yet — click it to create it.
Headings — ## Heading starts a section. Pages with three or more get a table of contents automatically.
Recent changes — see every recent edit across the wiki.

Please keep the wiki accurate: add sources for history and facts, and mark anything you're unsure of.
