Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information L.O.S Farms ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the L.O.S Farms website, game, and associated Discord bot (together, the "Service"). It's incorporated into, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service and User Agreement.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, and avatar image from Discord, and you choose a display name. If an account was created with an email address, we store that email address and a hashed (never plain-text) password.

Gameplay data. Your farm, inventory, currency balances, level/XP, quest progress, neighbors, and similar in-game state.

Content you provide. Forum posts, wiki edits, chat and direct messages, and profile details such as social links and your chosen site theme.

Technical and usage data. Your IP address, browser user agent, and session identifiers are stored with your login session, primarily for security, abuse prevention, and to keep you signed in. We also keep server logs and performance monitoring data (for example, error logs and slow-request reports) that may incidentally include request metadata and your account ID.

Admin action logs. For accountability, we keep an internal log of moderation and administrative actions (such as bans or currency corrections) taken on accounts by our staff.

We do not collect financial or payment information, because the Service does not process any payments (see Terms of Service, Section 2).

2. How We Use Information

  • to run the game and website and keep you signed in;
  • to show your display name, avatar, level, and farm stats on leaderboards, profiles, forums, and in chat;
  • to send Discord notifications you have opted into, and to post community updates (such as farm shares or leaderboard results) to our Discord server;
  • to prevent cheating, abuse, and unauthorized access, and to enforce our Terms;
  • to fix bugs and improve performance.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Sharing

Information you post publicly (forum posts, leaderboard entries, profile pages, public chat, farm shares on Discord) is visible to other users. Otherwise, we only share information with the services needed to run L.O.S Farms — Discord (for sign-in and bot features), Cloudflare (which carries all traffic to the site), and our backup storage provider — or when required by law.

4. Retention

We keep your account and game data while your account exists. Login session data expires automatically. Chat messages, forum posts, and admin action logs are kept to preserve community history and accountability unless removed by staff.

5. Your Choices

You can change your display name, profile details, theme, and Discord notification settings from your profile, and download a copy of your save file at any time. To have your account and associated data deleted, contact the staff on our Discord server.

6. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact staff and we will remove it.

7. Changes and Contact

We will update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes and announce significant changes. Questions or requests can be sent to the staff on our Discord server.
